Cosy Accommodation in the Scottish Highlands
Our home, a stone cottage, was built over two hundred years ago when it served as a game keepers cottage for a large estate. It's now been refurbished and we invite you to stay as our guest. We are one mile North of Callander, in Central Scotland, and situated on the bank of the River Leny in Kilmahog, surrounded by gardens, hills, forests and nature.

We have three guest rooms that have been furnished and equipped to modern standard while still retaining the character of the cottage. Each centrally heated room has en-suite facilities. Your window will most likely look out over the forests or river, or you can enjoy the colour television, VCR and in-house video library. A hospitality tray allows you to make tea or coffee and biscuits in your room if you like.

Staying at Bridgend Cottage always means enjoying a hearty breakfast either at the big warm table in our kitchen, or out on the terrace beside the river. We offer a choice of either a full cooked Scottish breakfast or a continental one. Are you vegetarion or perhaps have special dietary needs? Lets us know and we can take care of it.

In heart of the Trossachs National Park and at the gateway to the highlands you will find no shortage of activies. The nearby, lively town of Callander (1 mile/2km) can be reached easily by road or along an attractive walking and cycling path that follows the old railway track past local Roman remains. In the opposite direction that path winds its way to Strathyre (8 miles/11 km) and beyond.
We are centrally located in an area perfect for a motoring, walking and soaking up the Scottish countryside. Fisherman and cannoists love this place, hikers challenge themselves on Ben Ledi, and paraglider pilots enjoy cross country flights.
For your evening meal, perhaps with drinks, it's only 223 steps from our door to the door of our nearest neighbour -
The Lade Inn. Which we recommend.
